Fragrances are the flamboyant reflections of our personalities. What kind of odor coming from you, defines, who you are?. It is very essential to choose the right perfume for yourself but before you invest in a fragrance, there are a few basic things you need to know, and today I’m going to give you THE BEST 101 PERFUME GUIDE and everything you need to know about perfumes.

So what is another word for attraction?
yes, it is “perfume”.
Your scent communicates better when you don’t. If you want to be an attractive personality then you should always wear a distinctive and elegant cologne.
I have seen so many guys wearing designer perfumes but in an improper way.
Most of us do not care about the smell coming from us and this is the biggest blunder.
A classic man always wears a classic fragrance. If you want to evolve as an alpha then you should certainly take care of this significant component of men’s lifestyle.
THE BEST 101 PERFUME GUIDE

01. NEED –
As I mentioned, your fragrance communicates better, when you don’t but this is not the only reason to invest in expensive fragrances.
Well, there are some leading reasons –
(A) OLFACTORY SYSTEM –
There is a system in our body, which is called “The Olfactory System”. Women have 1.5 time’s strong Olfactory sensitivity than men.
It means they have a better sense of smell than us.
So, if you want to become an attractive man and want to make your impression on girls then you should surely wear perfumes.
(B) SELF RELAXATION –
This is a fact that we feel incredible after wearing a quality perfume. It makes us feel elegant and tidy, even I can’t express, the feeling of wearing a fine scent which goes well with our personality.
I’m sure, you will also experience this after wearing perfumes.
(C) CONFIDENCE –
yes, gentleman!
A nice aroma makes you more confident but bad can also make you less confident and insecure.
Perfume is not just a bottle of liquid scent, it is completely an exotic personality in a container.
So, These are only a few major reasons, why you should wear perfumes and I request you to give a try to at least one quality fragrance.
02. CONCENTRATION –
Practically, there are so many different categories of perfumes according to the concentration but there are three most popular categories according to usability.
Those are EDC, EDT, and EDP.
(A) EDC (Eau De Cologne) –

In this category, such perfumes come, in which the aromatic perfume is 2% – 6%. EDC perfumes come at a low price point, so if you want to try a perfume for the first time then you can go for EDC fragrances.
(B) EDT (Eau De Toilette) –
Fragrances, in which the concentration of the aromatic scent is about 5% – 15%. EDT perfumes last longer than EDC perfumes.

(C) EDP (Eau De Parfum) –
EDP is a category, which has the most long-lasting perfumes, which evaporates gradually.

EDP perfumes has 10% – 20% concentration of pure fragrant liquid. Also, these perfumes are more on the expensive side.
If you are planning to purchase 2-3 bottles of EDC perfumes then I would recommend you invest in just a classic EDP perfume.
03. NOTES –
The ingredients used in making perfumes are called notes in the perfume terminology.
When we smell any perfume, we recognize those notes.
So, whenever a perfume is made, experts decide all the notes. These notes determine the final fragrance of the perfume.
Therefore, the perfume notes are the most significant elements because the fragrance of a perfume completely relies on them and due to this the notes selection comes to be the most complicated and time-consuming process while making a perfume.
There are three types of perfume notes –

(A) TOP NOTES –
When we smell a perfume, the first layer of some vibrant and effective components, we sense known as the top notes or headnotes.
How will it be the initial impression or opening of a perfume? It completely depends on the top notes.
Some famous top notes that are used mostly in perfumes are bergamot, orange, lavender, basil, rose, etc.
(B) HEART NOTES –
After the top notes, the notes enter and determine the second layer of perfumes are called middle notes or heart notes.
These notes make the perfume even more interesting and fascinating. Middle notes are always known to deepen the experience and give you the actual joy of the scent.
Middle notes last longer than the top notes.
some excessively used middle notes are cinnamon, pine, cardamom, enroll, jasmine, etc.
(C) BASE NOTES –
Base notes establish the foundation of a perfume. Generally, it is tough to recognize them because they arise after approximately 20 minutes of using perfume.
Base notes are effective only with the middle notes but their prestige is also similar to both types of notes.
Some of the oftentimes used base notes are patchouli, musk, amber, sandalwood, moss, Cedarwood, vanilla, etc.
04. SELECTION –
The fragrance selection is yet an unsolved puzzle for a lot of males.

You should always be very careful while spending on perfumes otherwise you will spoil your valuable cash.
SAMPLING –
People often test so many fragrances at a time but it is the worst method of sampling perfumes.
It makes all the notes get combined in each other and you can not feel the right estimate and exact idea of any scent.
So what is the right way of testing perfumes?.
Well, the best way I always follow is “The Paper Strip Method”. It is a quite long method but when you are putting a respectable amount of money in just one bottle of scent then you should be choosy.
So you will not regret buying that bottle.
THE PAPER STRIP METHOD –
I use this method for testing scents. Make sure you follow this method without skipping any step –
(A) Always go for basic designer perfumes.
(B) Pick 2-3 perfumes maximum at a time for the test.
(C) Before testing, gather knowledge as much as possible. Read the articles and watch reviews.
(D) Now get a paper strip, keep in mind never spray any perfume right on your skin initially.
(E) Maintain a safe distance of 15 cm.
(F) Spray on both sides of the strip and leave it, let the alcohol dry.
(G) Now, keeping the same distance, bring the strip close to your nose.
(H) Exhale through the nose firstly, so the scent will evaporate and give out the bigger scent cloud.
(I) Now, inhale the scent deeply and feel the aroma.
(J) After that, keep the strip in your pocket and try other perfumes at least after 4-5 minutes on different paper strips in the same way.
(K) Keep all the stripes in different pockets and after one hour smell them again, So you can feel the top, heart, and base notes.
(L) Decide the best perfume and try it once on your skin also so you can recognize, how it smells on the skin.
This is the best and safest way of sampling perfumes, never buy any perfume online when you are getting that perfume for the very first time. Use this method and I’m sure you will enjoy the fragrance purchasing as well.
05 HOW TO WEAR? –
People often spray perfumes in a bad manner that’s the reason, why they don’t get a kick out of the fragrance.
If you don’t know how to match clothes, then surely you will make errors, similarly, if you don’t know how to wear fragrances, you will undoubtedly make mistakes.
So there are few crucial principles of applying perfumes –
(A) Never spray colognes right on the fabric of your clothes, It weakens the fibers of the clothing and can also make a stain on them. Always spray fragrances on pulse points of your body.
(B) the soft and warm area of your skin, where blood circulates better, known as pulse points.
When you spray the scent on your pulse points, the fragrance lasts-longer and evaporates nicely.
Pulse Points – neck area, soft area of the forearm, underarms, behind the ear, etc.

(C) If you are going to attend any special occasion like a party, gathering, date, or event then apply the perfume after taking a shower.
(D) never layer fragrances, it smells worst when various fragrances get blended. Always wear one perfume at one time
(E) The biggest mistake people generally make is, they apply too much scent and hope that people will admire them.
Never spray too much perfume. Just Take the just bottle, Make a safe distance of 15 I’m while spraying the scent.
Just 2 to 3 puffs are quite sufficient. Don’t apply more than this.
Beautiful information, I’m just not certain about the layering of perfumes… could we possibly engage more on this matter?
